the Basics
We like to think, that you may feel at home while working with your photos using our site. We like to think, that it is your site as much as ours and that with its being such you should be able to personalize it. The photos you upload are yours only - we are only their keepers. Personalization may impart the "personality” of your creative genius to your photos : the Layouts (see "the Layouts: My Photos as the homepage" and "the Layouts: the albums") You can define the functional space, the way your homepage looks, the sizes of your categories' or albums' frames. the Tools (see more…) You may hide some of the additional information and tools shown with your photos. You may choose whether or not to show the various available buttons (such as "Buy" or "Go to Album" in the upper toolbar) for specific groups of users and you may change various settings affecting the interaction of the web-site and the people you present your photos to. You may change the colors and backgrounds of your albums and your homepage. The way you see your photos is the same as the way your visitors see them, except some of the protecting features that are not applied to you as the owner of your photographs. This is true only for the “My Photos” tab of your account. Of course, while logged in, you have all the tools and mechanisms of organization and personalization available. the Featured SlideShow
To achieve a more dynamic feeling for the homepage, you may use the Featured Slideshow (the SlideShow Light) as it is a show of your chosen album in a smaller format (either 400x300 pxs or 800x600 pxs) on your homepage. It is another way to advertise your album. Furthermore, you may as well embed and display this lighter and simpler version of the SlideShow on your own website. Example 30 (sharing a link to a slideshow light) It is possible to obtain the HTML code for a SlideShow Light using the "Share" button which you can see on each album's page. Then, all you need to do is paste the code into the code of your website and you will have the SlideShow Light displayed wherever you want. the Layouts: My Photos as the homepage
Your homepage may be personal and visually organized. The change of layouts may help to differentiate your albums from your categories or the albums one from another. You may choose a bigger display size for the categories thus advertising the albums more. You may “hide” all your less up-to-date albums in categories thus directing the atention to the albums you consider the most interesting. These are just examples, you may play with the settings as you like. There exist more ways to apply layouts to the homepage or the album page ; one of them is to use our Quick Panels that are accesible via the “Change look” buttons located at the top of the album page or at the right side of the homepage. You may set the general settings through the "Layouts" button The My Photos tab of your account is in fact your homepage. All your albums and categories are organized under it. This is one of the many possibilities it may look like.
To enter the information into the "About me" section, just choose the My Account tab or use the "[Edit]" link at the end of the text (as can be seen in the screenshot above).
In the Quick Panels you may choose whether or not to show the dates below albums and categories and the icon style (album and category “frames” or the thumbnails). To see the homepage with all the restrictions of a visitor, just sign out and then reload the webpage (some browsers provide the shortcut of "F5" shortcut for reloading). The other way to change the settings is to visit the Control Panel tab. When using this tab, you are setting the general settings that are applied by default to all of your albums. To set different settings for any particular album, visit its Settings section or its Quick Panel and select a value other than the “the Control Panel value". Organizing the sections of the homepage
To create even more personalized and fine-tuned homepage, you may use the arrows that are visible at the end of every section of your homepage (“About me”, “Albums”, “Categories”, “Featured Photos”, “Featured Albums”, “Featured Slideshow”). Thus you may direct the attention of your visitors to certain information. The thing anyone usually sees at first is located about the level of the eye. This means that if your profile contains essential data, you may move it downwards a bit. Another strategy could be to catch the eye, either by something moving or changing as is the Featured Slideshow

Changing albums order
Albums’ order may be another detail that enables you to improve the experience of your visitors. You may arrange albums whether they appear in a category or directly on your homepage.
the FunctionalityThe various buttons can be displayed either for you - as the owner - only or for all of the users who come to view your photos and albums. This includes the "Shopping cart" button, the "Share" button, the "Download" button, and the "Go to Album" button. Another set of options includes the activation and deactivation of the following: external links, right-click download protection, and commenting. All of these settings can be set either globally in the Control Panel or specifically for each album in its Settings. the Themes
Themes determine the visual appearance of the homepage, the album pages and the photo pages by applying different colors to their background, frames, and the like. To manage the Themes, you have to access either the "Homepage" tab or the "Albums" tab, as the Themes can be chosen separately for these two groups. You may also choose another coloring for a specific album in the Settings or by clicking the "Change look" button. The album “Change look” button opens a Quick Panel containing various settings concerning the layout including the possibility of changing the themeof your albums. Do not forget to click the “Save” button for your changes to take effect when using the Control Panel or the Quick Panels.
Sometimes the best effect can be achieved by applying similar color as the one in your photos like choosing the "Blue Theme" for your "lake" album. But if you have simple line art photos, a better way may be in choosing opposite colors, something that strengthens the photo's simplicity by "blackness". As always you may try the "golden path".
