BlueMelon.com ("BlueMelon", "we" or "us"), we feel that we are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and users and we do this responsibly.

This Privacy Policy (our "Policy") describes how personal information is collected from members of BlueMelon and how that information is used and disclosed.

Our Policy is incorporated into and is subject to the BlueMelon Terms of Service. By using www.BlueMelon.com (our "Site") you understand and agree that we will treat your use of our services as acceptance of the Terms of Service from that point onward.

1. General information

1.1 Our Site is meant for people above 13 years. We are happy to see whole families attending our sites or parents taking active interest in their children´s doing.

1.2 You provide us with personal information (for personal information, see Glossary) - only e-mail address is compulsory - when you:

- create an account

- contact us by email for any reason, such as to request help with our Services, or to provide us with your comments/feedback

- submit a resume to us via email

1.2.1 We collect your nickname and email address in this manner. We may also collect your name and gender if you decide to fulfill the optional fields of “Your Account” section.

1.2.2 Important Note: You have the option of telling us how you wish to be identified in connection with your photos, categories, comments and elsewhere on our Site. If you choose to use your real name (or include any personally identifying information as part of your "nickname") that information will be publicly displayed on our Site. Therefore, please use caution in determining how you wish to be identified on our Site.

1.2.3 You may not use vulgar language in your nickname (not partially nor any other use).

1.3 Additionally, when you visit our Site, some information is automatically collected, such as your computer's operating system and browser type, version, and capabilities (such as whether JavaScript is enabled and cookies are accepted), your Internet Protocol (IP) address and the time and date of your visit, the referring site (if applicable), as well as screen resolution, color and depth. This information is tracked through the use of "cookies" and "Web beacons".

1.3.1 We use cookies to keep you logged in to our Site, to count the number of unique computers visiting our Site, and to record your user preferences.

1.3.2 We may place Web beacons on our Site in conjunction with cookies to monitor how visitors are navigating and/or interacting with our Site. We treat automatically collected information as personal information if we combine it with or link it to any of the personal information identified above. Otherwise, it is used in the aggregate only.

1.3.3 Moreover, a third-party service is used to anonymously track traffic data on our Site through the use of a cookie that is not linked to, and does not track, any personally identifiable information about users of our Site.

2. Uses

2.1 In general, we use personal information collected on our Site to provide the Services, to provide support for the Services, to respond to user requests and inquiries, to maintain a record of our dealings with Site users, to develop new products and services and to inform users about products or services we think will be of interest.

In all cases we limit the information shared with our third-party vendors to that which is necessary to carry out those functions.

2.2 We also disclose personal information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law (e.g., a lawful subpoena, warrant or court order) or with requests of law enforcement authorities; to enforce or apply this Policy or our other policies or agreements; to protect our or our customers' rights, property or safety; to protect our customers from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of, our Site; or if we reasonably believe that an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of records without delay.

2.3 We process any personal information on our server in the United States of America.

3. Your possibilities

3.1 If, in the future, we decide to share personal information with any third parties for their own (or another third party's) marketing purposes, we will update our Policy to reflect such change and provide you with the opportunity to opt-out of such disclosure of your personal information.

3.2 Our Site may contain links to other Web sites. All the links from our Site to other sites or content are provided by our members only and as such are part of their “Shared content” (see the Terms). We do not have control over the content or privacy and security practices and policies of such third parties or other sites. Any personal information you provide on linked pages is provided directly to that third party and is subject to that third party's privacy policy. We encourage you to inform us about any links that may breach the Terms of our Services including but not limited to links to adult sites.

4. Security issues and additional information

4.1 We have put into place reasonable security measures in an effort to prevent loss, misuse and alteration of information while it is under our control. We cannot, however, guarantee the protection of information against interception, misappropriation, misuse or alteration, nor can we promise that your information may be not be disclosed or accessed by accidental circumstances or by the unauthorized acts of others. Furthermore, we have no control over the security of other sites you might visit, interact with or do business with.

4.2 When you register for an account on our Site, we ask you to create a "nickname" and password. To protect the confidentiality of your personal information, you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for all uses of our Site by any person using your password. Please advise us immediately if you believe your password has been misused or otherwise misappropriated.

4.3 If you are interested in other matters concerning your privacy, please contact us. Do, however, note that we may not answer irrelevant inquiries.

5. Policy Modification

5.1 Our Policy may be changed through time. We shall not disclaim any of your rights mentioned in our Policy without your express consent and we expect only minor changes to take place. Every modification will be published either in the Privacy Overview or in the full Privacy Policy with change in the date of revision at the top. If the modification shall be more extensive, we will post the modified Policy on our Site and indicate this in the News section for at least one week. We do not want you to spend your time by re-reading the same information.
